Every Man and Woman is a Star

A quick update to let you know what we have been up to recently. It's been a really busy and enjoyable time for the both of us, as we had three exhibitions in different countries crammed into the space of just over one month. We started off in Liverpool at the Albert Dock's 'Site Gallery' where we installed a well recieved interactive light and sound sculpture titled 'Every Man and Woman is a Star', inspired by a quote taken from Aleister Crowley's 'The Book of the Law'(1909).

The second exhibition was a solo show hosted by the wonderful folks who run Candyland, they have recently expanded their Artist run activities to a larger industrial space in Stockholm called Hammarby ArtPort.Three solo show's were orchestrated to open simultaneously which included work by Paul Cullen(NZ) , Delphine Reist(CH) & Lauren Faulon(FR) and ourselves. We were given an empty office space consisting of five adjoining rooms to work within, installing microphones in the various rooms we amplified the sound of the lights electrical current with found speakers & amplifiers :) The electricity supply of the lights was interrupted intermitently creating a monstrous composition of random flickering light and sound.

Lastly we ended our triad of exhibitions at Teatro Valle-Inclan for La Noche en Blanco / White Nights. Where we installed 'Cada Hombre y Cada Mujer es Una Estrella/ Every Man and Woman is a Star'.

The installation was similar to our Liverpool work but much larger in size, accompanying the work were a number posters installed in the theatre space which greeted the public as they ascended to the window fronted second floor.

All in all we had an amazing month and would like to thank all those that helped us along the way.
